Hi all:
I have a friend who is trying to use the mobile Facebook site. She is regularly given Captchas to solve when she posts a message from that site. I used to have that problem, but solved it by using the Braille Plus for all/most of my Facebook work. I went on with my PC last night, and posted two messages from the mobile site with no problem. Besides the work-arounds of Salona and Web Visum, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Lou
An ugly one but it works:
Help her to set up SMS on the mobile site. She doesn't have to use it, but it forces Facebook to stop it with the authentication already.
This isn't just a blind issue, as those wavy drunken characters are often hard to read on small screens anyway, and the way I've seen people fix it is set up SMS on their phone (it's 32665 in the U.S.) and send at least one status update to the wall from there then it *should* be authenticated, though I realize Facebook appears to roll out software like your average classroom full of interns.
well sometimes if u log out, and then log back in it will go away. however, this does not always work, or she can use the audio link if they have it. I cant remember, but the audio is sometimes hard to hear.
Thanks to you both. Sometimes I wonder if the audio captcha that is used is worse than nothing at all, because it is just so hard to understand. Granted, the developpers are trying, but then, so is the win-o that helps you across the street when he can't stand up him/herself.
